23 Aug, 2005audrie and craig (62.190.177.81)royal bay hotel booked our holiday last oct 2004 for this sep 2005.Travel agent said it was a fab place to go and blah blah blah, left first choice feeling very excited. Got home and decided to have another look on the internet at this holiday and oh my god.............the stuff i read was unbeleivable. Ithen went on to other web pages and read totaly different reviews. Now i dont know what to think im all confused and instead of looking forward to my holiday in 6 wks time i, im now really scared and dreading it.WISH ME LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
20 Aug, 2005Julia (62.254.0.12)Royal Park Hotel We have returned this week from the Royal Park. And I agree with the previous comments. The amount of whingeing Brits is amazing! What do you expect from a country trying to set up succesful tourism?
We did have a few complaints agreed but on the whole the people were very friendly, the hotel was very very impressive, our suite of rooms were huge. The food was on the whole, good, the wine was awful but the beers were plenty!
If you can get out to Varna and see the true Bulgaria. Sunny Beach is like Blackpool on a good day - although if you walk North there are a couple of huge and beautiful new hotels called Helanor and the Majestic. Now they are worth seeing.
Would I go to Bulgaria again? Yes in another 10 years when they have sussed us out!
As a P.S. - the beers and food are soooooooo cheap. Large beers are 35p in some places, cigarettes are about 40p a packet and a meal for four is less than a tenner.... Enjoy!

11 Aug, 2005Basson Family (213.48.244.209)Elenite Village ilable so no need to worry about the children eating anthing. We didn't bother getting up for breakfast much but at the beach bar there were Hotdogs & 'Bacon Butties' [ham & cheese on warm roll] from 1030hrs. the pizza place was open 1200-1700 [they were lovely] and pool bar serviced cooked chicken at 1200 & 1500hrs each day that was delightful, there was also a couple of trolley what served baked potatoes and potato bread around the village and as we were leaving they were setting up a kebab place outside Animations so theres plenty to eat without going to the restaurants during the day. Animation Team worked really hard the show they put on were great but although they have 3/4 air conditioning systems in the theatre the heat was unbearable. The only complaint if any we would have is due to the lack of air-conditioning and ceiling fans in restaurants which made it unbearable to eat your evening meal we spent most of our last week eating at Talyana bbq restaurant which was outdoors and near the beach. Also if you want to venture out of the complex there is a 'Shack' outside the entrance the rear of the Royal Park just down a dirt track which serves food & drink and really reasonable 60p for very large beer, it has a lovely atmosphere.
Would definately return lovely people & lovely place value for money.
Enjoy!!!

26 Jun, 2005Stephen Crowley (160.62.4.10)Info on Royal Park Hotel Hi Folks,
Heading to the Royal Park, Elenite in August, have read numerous good and bad reports. Anyone just back who can give me an honest review on Hotel, Food, Facilities (Kids Club), costs and local shooping. Would appreciate any feedback.

21 Jun, 2005Christine and John (195.188.141.145)ROYAL PARK Just got back three days ago and i certainly wont be returning!Believe us, you will be shocked as you are approaching the hotel when you first get there as it looks wonderful but as soon as you enter the Royal Park, that's when the trouble starts.
21 Jun, 2005Jane (195.188.141.145)Royal Park Hotel would never go again! a pure Holiday From Hell it should be a 1 star standard not a 4,trust me,you have been warned!!!!!!!!!
12 Jun, 2005stephen (195.92.67.209)help We have just booked for the Royal Park Hotel, as it looked greta value for money, for this time 2006. We will have a 3yr girl, and the brocure looked great. Now reading the reviews, we are now concerned. Can anyone re-assure us?

30 May, 2005Mary Lenthall (80.3.96.40)Royal Bay Hotel Never having been to Bulgaria, was not sure what to expect. Definitely chose the right area. Sunny Beach horrified me.
The hotel was very clean and the staff were extremely helpful and cheerful. We could eat in four different restaurants. The food was of good quality and I feel we chose the best hotel in the complex. Yes ther were a large number of birds, but they did not bother us and the beach was cleared of litter every evening. All in all I enjoyed my week's stay.
24 May, 2005tracy (62.252.32.11)royal park We returned from Royal Park 23.5.05. We had a great time. Lovely hotel, very clean. Good size rooms. 2 adults 1 13yr old boy, 1 double bed and a bed settee for my son. We found the food to be quite acceptable with a range of choices which did include chicken and pork, but in a nice variety of dishes. There was also fish and veal with plenty of salad, fruit and potatoes, including chips!!!!!!!!!! Breakfast cereal, bacon, eggs , various sausages etc. Lots of bars and snack places, indoors and out. Lovely main pool, 2 others on complex. Lots of stuff going on in day if you choose to join in ie quizzes, volley ball, waterpolo, rifle shooting etc. Evening entertainment ok, lots of bars, we mainly went to the animation hall which was like pontins/haven type with kids club and reps doing shows which was ok after a few beers. We watched dolphins in the sea from our balcony which was fab. Lots of water activities, windsurfing, canoeing ,surfboardin, which was great. Watch out for jelly fish tho. Went to Sunny Beach by bus a few times, lots of building work going on between elenite an Sunny Beach. Bus fare cost 1.60 lev, taxi costs 20 lev. Lots of activity in sunny beach, lots of bars, restaurants, discos, minigolf and a market for your genuine fakes. Be careful with sizes if u are taking home prezzies cos they r a bit on the small side and check size of goods they actually give you in bags as they differ from sizes on display, double check!!!! Staff at hotel seemed quite pleasant. Overall we had a lovely holiday (1 week) Would definately return. :-)
22 May, 2005k_mcgurk1@yahoo.co.uk (217.137.250.87)Royal Park, Elenite I was there also last July with a group of friends and I have to agree with the young lads comments before. I found this hotel very good, staff were friendly and the all inclusive facilities was excellent. The drink was flowing and although the food was not great you do have to expect this when you go to a foreign country, I can assure you me and my party did not starve. I have just booked again for this year as the resort is very cheap and well worth the money. If you are going, Enjoy your holiday.
22 May, 2005scttpickett@yahoo.co.uk (217.137.250.87)Royal Park in Elenite I was there last July with my mum and dad and had a brilliant time, so good we are all going again in July this year. From a young adults point of view the food was good and I never went hungry, the facilities in the hotel and around it where excellent, reps where very entertaining, something going on every hour, our highlight was the daytime quiz (which we won quite a few times). If anyone has worries over this resort, don't, we cant wait to go back and remember if you are bored with elenite, take the bus into Sunny Beach.

20 Jul, 2004clare thorpe (62.254.0.32)holiday fropm hell totally the worse holiday of my life...we all ill due to the food. birds flying around resturant ad one fowled on my dinner summed the whole holiday up. Staffs attitude was terrible pool was so dirty you could not see the bottom of the pool. Too much to list would have been better going to butlins! In the process of trying to get money back from 1st choice.
30 Jun, 2004ian hanmer (195.93.34.9)joke yes thats true this so called holiday village is the biggest joke ever. were do you start food : served in what i can only call warm metel bread bins swimming in grease (dog food looked better) birds flying in dinning room (works canteen) dropping on the tables. yes its true its built on a hill with many many steps (brooken slabs). the pool i can only say it was a nice size (not very clean) childrens entertainment they did try I CAN ONLY SAY IF YOU HAVE BOOKED TO GO HEAR BE KINK TO YOUR FAMILY TAKE THEM TO THE PICTURES INSTEAD
24 Jun, 2004richard avenell (81.77.221.173)worst holiday ever (8-22 june 2004) too many details to list.
good - beach.
bad -staff attitude, food ,cleanliness,
all enclusive ha ha what a joke.
you know a holiday is bad when you open the Sun newspaper and the complex you are in is holiday nightmare of the week (sat 19th june 2004 or around abouts) i mean how bad must one place be when there are millions of places worldwide?
i did not meet one person on this holiday who enjoyed staying at the elenite. our rep told us it was the worst place she had ever worked and in 5 weeks had compiled a list of complaints two pages long.
14 Jun, 2004Elaine (195.93.34.9) was a beautiful place, but food was foul
