22 Aug, 2012 | Shazidkarim (66.31.71.127) | OJitaCEWaxV | Vegas hotels (especially those on the strip) never rlaley need to unload rooms. One thing to keep in mind is this An empty room isn't costing the hotel anything. They don't have to clean or restock it, or pay someone to do so. It simply doesn't pay for them to rent a room at a very small (if any) profit to an average joe that might not even drop a $20 in a slot machine (not to say that you wouldn't).My advice would be to check out the bargain sites like priceline, hotwire, etc. Even thought the commercials claim that the hotels are trying to get rid of their rooms, the hotels actually sell blocks of rooms to those services in advance. Therefore, it's those companies who are more likely to offer big discounts last minute. You also want to be careful because waiting until last minute may cost you far more than it might save. I always look for good deals in advance during slow times of year. If a cheaper price comes up later, oh well. Want to rlaley save money? Don't bother staying on the strip, or stay at an older property like the Trop. You'll still be close to all the action and won't have to spend a ton of money on a place to crash.Good luck and have fun! |

30 Jun, 2008 | sue () | oasis beaach | Hi
Just returned from a week at the oasis beach. The weather was fantastic and we couldn't believe how cheap it was. The apartments are really nice and the pools are all working. The gym equipment is there but not sure whether it's up and running yet. The lifts aren't working yet no. There is a cafe that does toasties & bacon butties. They do sell beer but they shut at 5pm so you need to stock up! At 54p for half a litre of Becks you can't go wrong!! There is little else there to be honest so you definately need a car. There are a few bars within 15 mins walk but the walk back in the pitch dark at night is quite scary. There is a lovely restaurant on the main road near the petrol station and the food is superb. Worth a visit to Varna though the beach there is gorgeous and it's only about a 20 min drive. We did have a lovely time but we had a hire car. A couple ended up getting an early flight back due to problems with the hire car so make sure you take your paper and picture form of your driving licence. Other than that the complex is really nice. If you suffer from hayfever Id take your tablets as me and my sister suffered quite bad at the complex with it being near the forest. |

27 Jun, 2008 | Mark E () | Oasis | I agree that setting up a committee would be in the best interests of all of the owners as this would allow everybody an opportunity to put forward there positive ideas and thoughts. This was something that was discussed when I was out at the Oasis a week ago. I would also echo the comments from previous messages that it is important that everybody pays there maintenance fee as this is for the upkeep of our investment. It is madness not to pay and is in no way linked to the problems that we had with the supplier of the furniture who let everybody down. Let's all move forward because we are lucky to be involved in the first wave of investment in this supurb part of bulgaria. |
27 Jun, 2008 | Peace () | Bulgaria | I love Bulgaria, Kamchia, and The Oasis complex, please lets all enjoy our property. If we do not pull it together pay the maintenance we will have a empty building taken over by squatters. We can all see how one winter of neglect has taken months of hard work to get right, pools grounds etc. Its looking good after all the hard work from the maintenance team, we can all stay there now. I have a place in Spain and there we publish name and shame non payers ! why should we suffer for the few bad moaning apples. We can request copy of accounts for anybody that thinks this non payment is just a sham for not getting the work done.
What we need when all monies are paid up is a active voting committee, it works very well in Spain. |
27 Jun, 2008 | B Block owner () | hi rob unhappy owner have paid manintenance.lol
26 Jun, 2008 | CLIFF () | OASIS RESORT | with regard the beautiful, classy oasis resort, would the owners who owe maintenance money to premier bg put their hands up and give reasons why so we can all see who you are. |
25 Jun, 2008 | rob block b () | oasis | We have just returned from Kamchia ,the complex is looking really good , there is an issue with the maintenance payments, I have paid mine and think it is being spent wisely. For those who think they will take our money maybe we should ask PremierBG to send out email to all with names of those who havent paid.I wonder if your name will be on list sad owner. |
25 Jun, 2008 | sad owner () | robo | rob cant wait lol. |
25 Jun, 2008 | Harry () | Patio set | Metro is probably best, also Mr. Bricolage and Pracktiker sell them. Try registering with my bulgaria site I haven't asked a question yet that somone hasn't helped with also it is a proper forum tis is supposed to be an advertising site . |
25 Jun, 2008 | Diane () | Oasis | Just got back from Oasis , and was pleased with the apartments in block B, and the area. It is beautiful , lots of wild flowers , sunshine , beach . We saw a family of wild boar trotting across the road , and turtles on the river .2 good restaurants near the river .
We have to move on from the problems left behind by Boris .Nothing is insurmountable .Sean and his wife Lesley and the rest of the staff are working very hard to make a succes of the complex , and we need them on board. The missing furniture has caused them a lot of extra work . When we were there , the bar was open , the pool clean and open .Bikes and car hire available . We took our own sheets and towels , and called into Practica on the way in from the arport to buy pillows and kitchen stuff . We took electric kettle and toaster from uk and fitted local plugs . Consumer goods not cheap, so take as much as you can . Really looking forward to our next visit . |
24 Jun, 2008 | rob () | Unhappy Moaning Owner Block B | Hope you can soon sell your apartment, and move to sandy beach ! so we can enjoy the rest from your public moaning ! |
24 Jun, 2008 | OWNER B BLOCK () | All that i have put here is true there is no getting away from it ,No i dont want to rent appartment out, its long term investment . what have they told you about lift probs and what they doing about it
24 Jun, 2008 | owner b block () | Im not a pillock and i listened to bd who feed me the information regarding this complex. BD says BG will put problems right , so who you spoke to to sort your problems OUT , and ill do the same.
24 Jun, 2008 | CLIFF () | INCORRECT INFO | im amazed that some of the false info coming out here is still happening. firstly i walked to the local shop in 15 minutes on a boiling hot day last week not half hour. second the pools are perfect not green, people were swimming in them last week. thirdly, your rental market should be aimed at ramblers, fishing, photography clubs etc, these people know where kamchia is and are looking for apts to rent as opposed to the kamchia hotel.renting a car is easy from the site office which is open, eating and drinking from the cafe bar is easy, and she will stay open late if there are people there, again we did this last week. i would suggest that a bit of foresight, intelligence and lateral thinking is required. i agree that if you were renting to a couple with kids on a low budget you might struggle, so why target that market?
CLIFF |
24 Jun, 2008 | satisfied () | pillock | We have just return from the oasis complex and to say this place is not rentable with remarks like yours with your poor spelling abilities just proves the type of pillock you are!
We have problems with the inside kitchen and furniture too but we have spoken to the correct people to solve these problems and work is about to start!! You cannot blame BG for not being responsible for the inside of your Apartment when people like you don't even realise this is not down to them! When did you ask the maintenance team to build the place for you?? Speak to the correct people to get things done! As for rentable... yes there are a few very minor issues but visit other places in and around BG and even Turkey, Greece and such and you will find this a very high standard of complex. We will be out there in a few weeks and will be enjoying staying in our lovely investment. Oh and on the last note pillock, if you were relying on your rental income to pay your way in the first year of a new complex opening in a very rural area, you should have done your homework on the rental potential in Bulgaria first, rather than spoiling its potential on here for everyone to see.. you foolish man! |
24 Jun, 2008 | owner b block () | lifts were working last oct, wonder why they are not working now ???????????? could be to save MONEY AGAIN, its crap that they got to move security hut because if that is true they would have started to move hut bynow ,
24 Jun, 2008 | oasis () | 50% have paid maintaints, they say but truth is most have paid and there saying that because they want to keep more of our money . open you eyes happy owners , mines open thats why im sad
24 Jun, 2008 | owner () | CLIFF, you like place so much why dont you make us offer, lol
24 Jun, 2008 | cant see beyond my nose () | owner | How can you rent appartment put while there is still problembs with pool making it go green and over half hours walk to nearest shop . Come on who would want to save all year for theor hols and when they arrive have nothing on site no shop green swimming pool, and snake bar that shuts at 5pm, and as for jimmys bar ???? whould you take your kids to jimmies bar i sure wont , only bright side is once we have sorted out probs in appartments finishing off jobs not finished ourselfs, as bg not interested inside apparts only outside i agree ut will be nice place to holiday, but were 2 years down line now so your looking at at least another 2 years . before area is developed , also no transport if you have not hired car , |
23 Jun, 2008 | CLIFF () | JIMMYS BAR | CHERYL, JIMMYS BAR IS KINDA TO THE LEFT OF THE CHURCH LOOKS LIKE A BIG HOUSE PAINTED GREEN OVER THE ROAD FROM THE SHOP WHICH HE OWNS TOO

23 Jun, 2008 | CLIFF () | THE BRITS | NOW SEE HERE, THERE ARE SOME PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT HAPPY UNLESS THEY ARE MOANING ASK MARK, GEOFF JAN AND THE OTHERS THAT WERE THERE WITH US LAST WEEK AT THE BBQ AROUND THE POOL. THERE ARE EVEN SOME THAT THOUGHT THEY WOULD BUY INTO AN EMERGING MARKET, SELL TO THE RUSSIANS ON OPENING DAY AND BUY A BEAUTIFUL CARAVAN BY THE SEA IN MARGATE, 20K UP AND NO TAX TO PAY!!
COME ON NOW PEOPLE, THE RESORT IS GREAT, APARTMENTS ARE QUALITY AND YOU NEED FACTOR 30, TRUST ME MY LEGS ARE WRECKED. THE ONLY PROBS YOU HAVE ARE WITH BORIS RIPEMOV AND TRUST ME IF I COULD FIND HIM I WOULD SHOOT HIM FOR YOU.ABOUT 50% ARE PAYING MAINTENANCE BUT THE SITE IS BEING MAINTAINED SO I DONT SEE THAT THEY HAVE AN ARGUMENT THERE.SO I WOULD SAY TO THE REST GO OUT AND ENJOY- BY THE WAY BBQ CHICKEN IS MINT BY THE POOL |
23 Jun, 2008 | cheryl () | jimmys bar | anyone got directions to jimmys bar , last time we went our we ate out at the white house and found the champions bar but didn't find jimmy's and i feel a little left out.

I am quite apprehensive as to what I will see.Does anyone know the level of people who have paid the maintenance comapany and will need to take my own pillow ? Ha Ha |
23 Jun, 2008 | CLIFF () | GREAT DEVELOPMENT | the oasis development is very well built in a stunning area, with great weather. i have just returned, here are some facts. the pools are brilliant, the walk to the shop is 15 mins, the local restaurants are superb, the people are great and you will find it difficult to spend loads, everything is great value. i have employed a contractor to carry out some alterations to my apartment ie/ furniture and the whole place is looking beautiful.my own personal apartment is a 2 bed of stunning quality and i am returning there in 3 weeks. i dont see any problems with the resort |
23 Jun, 2008 | CLIFF () | JUST GOT BACK | just got back from a productive week at oasis, met the solicitors, developers etc and sorted out quite a lot. luckily enough the other gusts there were all positive an collectively we agree that the development is stunning and you are in on a ground floor oportunity where you will make money if you have anything about you. on the other hand you could carry on moaning and witholding your maintenance fees which will achieve nothing |
22 Jun, 2008 | Mark E () | Oasis Beach Resort | I have just returned from a week out at the Oasis Beach Resort. I was thrilled with the whole development and the apartments are stunning. I am sure that this is going be a wonderful investment for owners in the years ahead and a great base to explore one of the most impressive and beautiful areas of Bulgaria. I have been informed that up to 150 villas are shortly to be built close by the Oasis. It is also apparant that in Kamchia itself that money is being spent with new restaurants etc. I would urge all owners to visit the Oasis and enjoy first hand there investment and relax in the sun. I intend to go back out to the Oasis in August and I for one can't wait. |
22 Jun, 2008 | James P () | Tourism | looks like we have two James's ! just to point out I have tried to promote this site to tour operators to get a feel of Kamchia and our complex. I can assure you the people that are airing their grievances in public are just upsetting everybody, mud sticks and as I mentioned before I have just got back a couple of weeks ago, the complex is looking good, and there is a lot of work going on, the maintenance company are doing jobs in peoples apartment to help out! they are under no obligation to do this, please please leave this informative site to push tourism not problem pages. Buying a property anywhere will encounter problems and the occasional set back. Lets work together and this site will be very beneficial in the future as a marketing tool for our complex, but everything that has ever been posted is here for decades to come. |
22 Jun, 2008 | james () | sad o | With public comments like yours are you supprised that you have lost money carry on and you won't rent either the idea is to sell the positives of the area and complex which are many. The issues with BD are private matters potential tourists are not interested in these issues they want to read about why this is the place to go. OASIS is built in a wonderful area af natural beauty/ wildlife, close the the city of Varna. This is going to be a 5 star location in 5 years so don't destroy what we have. Accentuate the positives we won't attract the sunny beach lot but then again I don't want too. |
22 Jun, 2008 | rob () | Sunny Beach better location for sad owner | Unhappy sad owner I think Sunny Beach would have been a better buy for you! as I think you are missing the point about this uniquie protected area, at Sunny Beach you will find all the shops and busy bars at hand on your doorstep! Just open your eyes and see the nature ! |
21 Jun, 2008 | Happy Owner () | GET REAL!! | Just have to say well done to all the people who can see past there own noses!!! i.e. for those who have positives comments to say about oasis resort.
Surely the fact that there is a short walk to the village and local pub is a good thing, as this says to me that we have a great investment in the very early stages, with huge potental on maturity. If you wanted something well developed and ready to go...head to the algarve...where you will pay three times the price!!! |
21 Jun, 2008 | Mark and Joanne-B () | Oasis | Hi everyone. We have recently returned from a weeks wonderful trip to oasis! We have bought two one bed apartments and are very pleased with them. one overlooking the pool and one the field and sea view at the rear. The complex is looking very impressive, and staff there are doing a great job! There is a snack bar already in operation, for snacks and drinks. You can also hire items like Cycles, which we did for 10 Lev per day, and cycled to the beach through the woods. There are other cycle routes in the area to explore. You can also hire items for apartments, like iron and ironing boards.etc.,
We are very pleased with the standard of the rooms and the building of the complex, and are definately far better than average holiday let apartments. This Complex has so much potential.Especially being in such a fantastic location, Miles of Stunning Beaches, and Countryside to explore, as well as Kamchia River, where there are snack bars and restaurants, and boat trips available to explore this stunning area. Also great village life in the local twin Towns of Blisnak, approx, 15 mins walk from the oasis, this is a lovely typical Bulgarian Village, with 2 Restaurant/Bar, and a couple of Grocery Shops, and one Very Freindly Bar - Jimmy's Where you will be made to feel at home by Jimmy and all the locals!! Varna the coastal Capital City! is less than 20 mins drive away, and is a very cosmopolitan, modern, and lively city, with Squares lined with street cafes, and every manor of restaurant you can think of. Something for everyone. We were very pleased with our trip, and we cant wait to visit again at the end of August. What a great place !! |
21 Jun, 2008 | sad owner () | im negative till bd sorts probs out then ill be positive, anyway half hours walk 2 nearest shop joke be few years before we can rent so accept that its long term, before we makle money or rent appartments out also had appartment priced and we have already lost £5000 from price we paid nearly 3 years ago . also ill put on here what i want ,

21 Jun, 2008 | JAMES () | Doom & Gloom | What we have is really good, I have just got back also, we need to but positive info on this site for tourist, I work in the travel trade and agree people should leave this site for the correct use. If you have problems take it through the correct channels in private.
Our complex is in a fantastic area and is in the very eary stages, and all this negative talk is just going to bring down the whole complex for any potential tourism. Be patient and this complex will be really good, with lots of investment going into the surrounding area. Think long term investment! please lets not keeping talking down the complex! |
21 Jun, 2008 | Dave () | Oasis | Can I say to the few people who are posting negative things on this site and others that you are going to ruin what potentially is going to be an excellent investment. Do you not realise that anyone thinking of staying at Oasis is going to read your comments which will put people off . The next thing you will be saying is that you can't rent your apartment out. Surley you realise that the whole world can read what you written not only now but forever dont be so stupid as to ruin what has tremendous potential. USE a closed site or personal e-mails These sites are designed to advertise the resort not for people to air grievencs with BD for goodness sake wake up to the damage you are doing to not only your investment but everyones. |
21 Jun, 2008 | un happy owner () | just got back , swiming pools are green cant use got leaks in bathroom no one interested, its up 2 us to sort out guys on site only do outside building probs so taking bd to court if they dont reply to my e mail as they promised 5 star appartment . lets hope they sort things out

20 Jun, 2008 | cheryl () | photos | hi Marc, we're not there again until August , but if you ask Dobrin he may take some for you . |
18 Jun, 2008 | Marc () | photos | Please can somebody help. I am wanting to advertise my studio apartment this season and am in desperate need of some photos of the inside of my studio. I cannot get out there until september. Is anyone going out there sooner who could possibly take a few photos for me. I would be extremely grateful, and would be willing to pay you for doing it. |
13 Jun, 2008 | harry () | Oasis beach | Hi all I have just returned from very relaxing week in Oasis. The complex looks stunning as you approach, being only a 20 min drive from Varna airport. Oasis is in a beautiful area of Kamchia overlooking the forest, a number of apartments have a sea view. Within a 5 min. drive there is a lot of wildlife roaming such as wild boar, buffalo and nesting storks.
A short 15 min walk is the up and comming village of Bilznatsi where the restaurants serve good traditional foods at very reasonable prices. A short drive through the forest to the river where a boat trip is the best way to see this at its best. The beach is one of the best in Bulgaria. Another option is to hire a driver for the day their knowledge of the area is teriffic and for 8 hours the cost is around 85 lev currently around £35. The more active types can hire bikes for the day. Oasis itself is becomming more operational by the day whilst the pools were very usable at this time of year they were on the cooler side. The swallows nest as they can do so undisturbed as more people start to spend time at Oasis they will move on. There is a small shop offering light snacks and drinks. The local drivers will take you to the city of Varna for 30 lev approx. £13 This is a wonderful city and well worth a visit. This is a place that has so much natural beauty within easy reach that once visited you will return time after time and still not see all this place has to offer. |
11 Jun, 2008 | cheryl () | swifts nest | The electronic device is being tested at another apartment and is not really working.chad/sean are open to any suggestions which can over come this problem , in block b the balcony lights are on the wall rather than on the ceiling as in block A ( block A and block B has different builders)and that's where the birds are starting to nest as they can get in them . They have tried knocking the nests down but that's not working because the locals say it's bad luck so won't have anything to do with it and secondly they just rebuild. We tied a line with plastic strips on it across the back of the balcony which we hope prevent the birds from building - so no guessing which apartment is mine then.Sean is keeping an eye on this not very technical experiment to see if it works. If it does they may be able to do something on a bigger scale next year, but any ideas please share with them
The gym equipent is now there by the way arrived last week so that's more good news |
10 Jun, 2008 | sad owner () | oasis | We off tomorrow to see the appartment
and find out what furniture we got. we will tell you all about the nest when we come back.speak next week jan and steve |
09 Jun, 2008 | Whistleblower () | Swift Nests | Hi.
I see a post mentioning a problem with Swifts nests. My last visit was in October - there were a few nests around then. Oggy advised me that there was a system being installed that sends out sonic waves(or something)that stops the birds nesting. I am assuming that this is not working. Anyone else heard about this? P. |
08 Jun, 2008 | karen () | oasis | cheryl completely agree with you, we visited in May and can't wait to go back, We have a good feel about the place and think it is a beautiful area with great potential for the long term |
