22 Jun, 2008rob ()Sunny Beach better location for sad owner Unhappy sad owner I think Sunny Beach would have been a better buy for you! as I think you are missing the point about this uniquie protected area, at Sunny Beach you will find all the shops and busy bars at hand on your doorstep! Just open your eyes and see the nature !
21 Jun, 2008Happy Owner ()GET REAL!! Just have to say well done to all the people who can see past there own noses!!! i.e. for those who have positives comments to say about oasis resort.
Surely the fact that there is a short walk to the village and local pub is a good thing, as this says to me that we have a great investment in the very early stages, with huge potental on maturity. If you wanted something well developed and ready to go...head to the algarve...where you will pay three times the price!!!

21 Jun, 2008Mark and Joanne-B ()Oasis Hi everyone. We have recently returned from a weeks wonderful trip to oasis! We have bought two one bed apartments and are very pleased with them. one overlooking the pool and one the field and sea view at the rear. The complex is looking very impressive, and staff there are doing a great job! There is a snack bar already in operation, for snacks and drinks. You can also hire items like Cycles, which we did for 10 Lev per day, and cycled to the beach through the woods. There are other cycle routes in the area to explore. You can also hire items for apartments, like iron and ironing boards.etc.,

We are very pleased with the standard of the rooms and the building of the complex, and are definately far better than average holiday let apartments. This Complex has so much potential.Especially being in such a fantastic location, Miles of Stunning Beaches, and Countryside to explore, as well as Kamchia River, where there are snack bars and restaurants, and boat trips available to explore this stunning area.
Also great village life in the local twin Towns of Blisnak, approx, 15 mins walk from the oasis, this is a lovely typical Bulgarian Village, with 2 Restaurant/Bar, and a couple of Grocery Shops, and one Very Freindly Bar - Jimmy's Where you will be made to feel at home by Jimmy and all the locals!!
Varna the coastal Capital City! is less than 20 mins drive away, and is a very cosmopolitan, modern, and lively city, with Squares lined with street cafes, and every manor of restaurant you can think of. Something for everyone.
We were very pleased with our trip, and we cant wait to visit again at the end of August. What a great place !!

21 Jun, 2008sad owner () im negative till bd sorts probs out then ill be positive, anyway half hours walk 2 nearest shop joke be few years before we can rent so accept that its long term, before we makle money or rent appartments out also had appartment priced and we have already lost £5000 from price we paid nearly 3 years ago . also ill put on here what i want ,

21 Jun, 2008JAMES ()Doom & Gloom What we have is really good, I have just got back also, we need to but positive info on this site for tourist, I work in the travel trade and agree people should leave this site for the correct use. If you have problems take it through the correct channels in private.
Our complex is in a fantastic area and is in the very eary stages, and all this negative talk is just going to bring down the whole complex for any potential tourism. Be patient and this complex will be really good, with lots of investment going into the surrounding area. Think long term investment! please lets not keeping talking down the complex!
21 Jun, 2008Dave ()Oasis Can I say to the few people who are posting negative things on this site and others that you are going to ruin what potentially is going to be an excellent investment. Do you not realise that anyone thinking of staying at Oasis is going to read your comments which will put people off . The next thing you will be saying is that you can't rent your apartment out. Surley you realise that the whole world can read what you written not only now but forever dont be so stupid as to ruin what has tremendous potential. USE a closed site or personal e-mails These sites are designed to advertise the resort not for people to air grievencs with BD for goodness sake wake up to the damage you are doing to not only your investment but everyones.
21 Jun, 2008un happy owner () just got back , swiming pools are green cant use got leaks in bathroom no one interested, its up 2 us to sort out guys on site only do outside building probs so taking bd to court if they dont reply to my e mail as they promised 5 star appartment . lets hope they sort things out

20 Jun, 2008cheryl ()photos hi Marc, we're not there again until August , but if you ask Dobrin he may take some for you .
18 Jun, 2008Marc ()photos Please can somebody help. I am wanting to advertise my studio apartment this season and am in desperate need of some photos of the inside of my studio. I cannot get out there until september. Is anyone going out there sooner who could possibly take a few photos for me. I would be extremely grateful, and would be willing to pay you for doing it.
13 Jun, 2008harry ()Oasis beach Hi all I have just returned from very relaxing week in Oasis. The complex looks stunning as you approach, being only a 20 min drive from Varna airport. Oasis is in a beautiful area of Kamchia overlooking the forest, a number of apartments have a sea view. Within a 5 min. drive there is a lot of wildlife roaming such as wild boar, buffalo and nesting storks.

A short 15 min walk is the up and comming village of Bilznatsi where the restaurants serve good traditional foods at very reasonable prices. A short drive through the forest to the river where a boat trip is the best way to see this at its best. The beach is one of the best in Bulgaria. Another option is to hire a driver for the day their knowledge of the area is teriffic and for 8 hours the cost is around 85 lev currently around £35. The more active types can hire bikes for the day.

Oasis itself is becomming more operational by the day whilst the pools were very usable at this time of year they were on the cooler side. The swallows nest as they can do so undisturbed as more people start to spend time at Oasis they will move on. There is a small shop offering light snacks and drinks.
The local drivers will take you to the city of Varna for 30 lev approx. £13 This is a wonderful city and well worth a visit.
This is a place that has so much natural beauty within easy reach that once visited you will return time after time and still not see all this place has to offer.

11 Jun, 2008cheryl ()swifts nest The electronic device is being tested at another apartment and is not really working.chad/sean are open to any suggestions which can over come this problem , in block b the balcony lights are on the wall rather than on the ceiling as in block A ( block A and block B has different builders)and that's where the birds are starting to nest as they can get in them . They have tried knocking the nests down but that's not working because the locals say it's bad luck so won't have anything to do with it and secondly they just rebuild. We tied a line with plastic strips on it across the back of the balcony which we hope prevent the birds from building - so no guessing which apartment is mine then.Sean is keeping an eye on this not very technical experiment to see if it works. If it does they may be able to do something on a bigger scale next year, but any ideas please share with them

The gym equipent is now there by the way arrived last week so that's more good news
10 Jun, 2008sad owner ()oasis We off tomorrow to see the appartment
and find out what furniture we got. we will tell you all about the nest when we come back.speak next week

09 Jun, 2008Whistleblower ()Swift Nests Hi.
I see a post mentioning a problem with Swifts nests. My last visit was in October - there were a few nests around then.
Oggy advised me that there was a system being installed that sends out sonic waves(or something)that stops the birds nesting. I am assuming that this is not working.
Anyone else heard about this?
P.
08 Jun, 2008karen ()oasis cheryl completely agree with you, we visited in May and can't wait to go back, We have a good feel about the place and think it is a beautiful area with great potential for the long term
06 Jun, 2008cheryl ()just come back from Oasis  We've just come back from Oasis, what Harry says is true.

When we first arrived there was no one there just the security guy who was having a nightmare as he could'nt speak english . I must admit my first impression of the apartment was not so so good.In B block there is a major problem with Swifts building their nests over the balconies ( at least 100 birds) so there is mess on the windows and floor around the pool as you can imagine(The pool in A block is up and running , Dobrin thinks the middle pool may be a no go option this year but you never know)in the apartment the floors were dirty and evrything needed a good scrub (you needs a mop and brush)couple of holes in the wall were there should have been sockets and the extractor fan not wired up - These problems have been inherited by the maintenance company and they are trying their very best to put them right . Sean has been hired tocome on site to help solve the problems - he is a good lad and knows what he is doing, his wife is also there landing a hand
I only have a 1 bed apartment and the furniture that i have i can make do with.........i came home happy and can't wait to get back out there . love the village such nice people, love the river its got a real Huckleberry Finn feel to it . The beach is fantastic about 1 mile long and a good surf my kids were in there for 2 hours playing . I could go on for hours about it .

02 Jun, 2008Bernie ()Oasis extract form an email to friends.

Arrived at Varna Airport at 15-30 pm on Friday 16th. Picked up hire car, took the wrong turning out of the airport (so whats new) eventually found the right road and arrived at Oasis at 17-00 pm. When you take the turning for Kamchia off the main road E87 (9) and get your first view of the complex, its quite impressive, (mind you there is nothing else to compare it with, lol's).

On arrival we were given the keys to the apartment and escorted to an english couple (Sean & Nicky) who are overseeing the distribution of the furniture etc. They took us up to the apartment and explained what was and what was not happening.

The apartment is larger than I expected, and is well finished, there are one or two minor problems but all in all We are very pleased with the complex and the apartment.

Before we arrived we knew that there would be things missing that we had ordered. We took a kettle and a couple of cups and some bedding.

In the lounge/kitchen were the promised sofa bed, table and 4 chairs, although they were not of the quality that we had ordered, they will do, coffee table, tv with table, there are vertical blinds on the windows and balcony doors, the kitchen itself is ok with two ring halogen hob, oven/grill, fridge and microwave. The bed is ok, roughly king size, there is a wardrobe and two bedside cabinets, The floors are laminate and look ok, bathroom is all tiled with shower only.

The things missing were 2 lounge chairs, chest of drawers, shower curtain, bedding, cutlery etc, these things will probably not turn up.

Walking round the complex, the pools have just been filled up, the bars/restaurants are very near opening, the complex is neat and tidy but it will look even better in the near future. No tennis courts (not really bothered) Bicycles for hire have turned up (again not really bothered both pursuits are to tiring, lol's)

We have been to a cash and carry and bought bedding, dinner service, towels, pots and pans, cleaning stuff etc etc, basically everything that was needed to live in the place. Cost about £250, Premier BG have sorted out a package for the above £250-£300 depending on size of apartment.

A few stats, Varna (driving) 20ks about 20 minutes, airport 28Ks about 30 minutes. Nesobar (Sunny Beach) 60 Ks yes you've guessed it about hour.
We found 3 resturants in the Village of Bliznatsi, the food is good and there is a reasonable choice and one alkies paradise at 40 pence a pint and a little cornershop all within walking distance, loads of resturants if you are driving. Beach is 3 miles away so a car needed. One new hotel on the beach.

29 May, 2008Harry ()Sue O Oasis is in a very beutiful area. It just depends on what you want to do on your trip.
I believe that on the complex there is a cafe open and a shop.
The village of Bliznatsi is the nearest village turn left between Oasis and main road, there is a post office, shop Patrincas bar and Jimmys bar where you can meet some ex pats. The owners of Jimmys bar are very knowledgable about the area. I would suggest you hire a car though the beach is about 3 km away.

27 May, 2008Sue ()Help! Four of us are going out on the 20th June. Is there anything there??? ie. pubs, restaurants. It's not our apartment so haven't been before! Ive read most comments and it's not looking good.

21 May, 2008Leigh ()Oasis Ap A2-2 I have just visited my apartment at Oasis. I was impressed with the build of my apartment, though progression of the finish has been slow, it is now moving in the right direction. The area that the Oasis is situated in is very nice and has lots of potential

21 May, 2008rob wilson ()oasis I have met Ogi and yes he is a Bulgarian bloke ,but i think that we have bought in Bulgaria ,nothing happens fast and they dont understand our way of thinking but give them a chance.
17 May, 2008owner a2 ()Ogi I have been reading this site for a while keeping up to date on the goings on! I read a few places about Ogi, the complex manager! What a joke!! Admitted PremierBG have some staff on site now and do agrre with the last post that thing are now happening but very slowly! But who is this ogi?
he showed his face for 5 mins when a lorry was on site saw there was work to do and ran off!! There was 5 or six people sorting furniture and about 4 complex workers for the time i was there but no ogi and no one to deal with us owners!
He sound like the normal Bg guy who thinks we are walking wallets ad he doesn't have to work for our pay!!
17 May, 2008owner b block ()reality I just wanted to put things into perspective here! I don't know who this Suzy is but she is really stretching the truth!
The oasis resort is far from ready for use! We have been this week without reporting our arrival and were shocked!
There are 2 cafes, but not running and no where near ready! The pools were empty and filthy with 1 guy leaning on his brush just watching the day go by!
The Gardener spent more time with the security Guy and with my frequent visits there i saw him do the mowing over 5 days that i could have done in 1.
The place did look clean ish although the only people i think were cleaning looked like 2 gypsies but they had swept round!
2 english were on site from what i gathered they were man and wife in to help sort what furniture is filtering through! I had a brief word with the guy. He called himself Sean and seamed a helpful chap and looked run off his feet but from my wander around they had done a really goood job of distributing the cheap nasty stuff that we have been left to put up with.
There are no bicycles there, no tennis courts, the end of the road cafe is 15 mins walk and the river is a good 40mins and my sunburn from the 55 min walk to the beach proves nothing is within a short walk! HIRE A CAR.
To sum it all up, premier are trying but no one there to keep an eye on the lazy staff and if it wasn't for the 2 english people we would of been destroyed at the sight of our place! They've done a great job with what they have been given and have managed to make nearly all places habitable! If it wasn't for them i would have just wandered in and have had great difficulty in finding my Apartment as there was nobody else there who had a clue who i was or what i wanted!
But be warned, our place had no linen, towels, cuttlery or pots and pans etc, so take your own or try to organize some there before you go, or sleep on bare mattresses and eat out!!
15 May, 2008z ()kath It was just gone nine and was on my way to Town, We did call the office and no reply ! I need to just turn up ! thanks
15 May, 2008kath ()office address they have moved just down the road, about 100mtr, why dont you just ring and ask for the address?
15 May, 2008z ()Bulgarian Developments Just been to visit Bulgarian Developments UK reg office Station Road,
Cheadle, its not there, its being developed spoke to a builder ! has anybody got their new address, would like to surprise them with a visit, would like to know why we have not been informed.
04 May, 2008Suzi ()restaurants We didn't try the restaurant at the end of the road - at the junction with the main road - nor did we try any restaurants in Bliznatsi, we only visited for a short time to finalise all the paperwork with the solicitor and the notary etc. We are hoping to go again in July and will try a few more local restaurants then. There is a new small hotel and restaurant right on the beach front at Kamchia which looks interesting but it was not open when we went.
30 Apr, 2008mark () I am but haven't posted for a while.
Has anyone sorted out the rest of their furniture?
30 Apr, 2008h ()oasis see you at the airport, are you the mark registered with my bulgaria site

28 Apr, 2008mark ()restaurants Thanks h. We are going to our apartment on June 6th so we will have to give them a try.
28 Apr, 2008h ()Mark I have been told that Patrinca's bar in Bliznatsi has good food a 5 min. walk from Oasis and Jimmy's irish bar is supposed to be basic but good meeting place. I don't know anyone who has been in the whitehouse on the corner 2 min. walk as it is new.
27 Apr, 2008owner () We are going to Oasis in June. Suzi was your appartment fully furnished and di you go the resturant at the end of the road.
27 Apr, 2008mark ()restaurants Hi Suzi. Did you try any restaurants in Bliznatsi or the one on the main road where the Kamchia road turns off and are they within walking distance?

27 Apr, 2008Suzi ()owner K We hired a car for the duration of our trip from carrentalsbulgaria.com telephone +359 52 618 035. They met us at Varna airport with the hire car and because it was dark and we didn't know where we were going they drove to our apartment so we could follow them. They then met us at the airport to collect the car before our return flight. Both times they were ready and waiting for us and were friendly and efficient. All this was at no extra charge above the daily rate for the vehicle.
If you continue past Oasis towards Kamchia and the river we ate out a couple of times at a bar/restaurant on the left hand side, on the riverbank, with tables and chairs outside (or in). It was very popular with locals at the weekend and good for families with a small play area to one side. There was a good ambience, it was busy with more well to do/trendy locals. The menu is completely in Bulgarian and the waiter didn't speak any English. Woncka canara(shopska salata) is excellent there, it is a salad with grated cheese on top. Kabapma( Kavarma) was also good, it is a type of tomato flavoured stew in an earthenware pot. They also had fresh grilled fish which was delicious. The prices of the main courses were around 1.5 to 2 lev(about 70p to 90p) and local beer was 2 lev a bottle.
We also went down to Nessebar and Sunny Beach. Nessebar is worth a visit with many old buildings, a lovely harbour area with lots of restaurants to choose from, it is a Unesci World Heritage site. The prices in Nessebar and Sunny Beach are about 3 times higher than Kamchia and the food is no better, although menus are in English also. We went into Varna several times, there are many restaurants to enjoy(if you are going to visit regularly it would be worth buying a Lonely Planet or similar, or going to the Tourist Info office in Varna. The Opera House in Varna is a nice building and they have concerts etc. on all year except July and August, unfortunately we were unable to get tickets as they had sold out.
Enjoy your trip and don't forget to nod your head for No and shake your head for Yes - or you could be waiting a long time for your beer!
25 Apr, 2008owner k ()suzi Hi suzi I am due o go out to Oasis can you recomend any places to eat/ go whilst there thanks
21 Apr, 2008Suzi ()Oasis Development - Kamchia We have just come back from a visit to Kamchia and the surrounding area. We were impressed with the Oasis Development, the aparttments are finished to a high level and look modern and stylish, there is a choice of two cafe/restaurants, secure parking, laundry service and two swimming pools. The Manager of the resort was more than helpful and pleasant. We ate out in several local restaurants which were delicious and very cheap. The beach is lovely golden sand and the river and surrounding countryside are beautiful. There are cycle tracks through the woods and you can hire cycles from the Oasis resort. We found everyone we met to be friendly and helpful. We are very pleased we bought a studio in the Oasis resort and are looking forward to returning in July for a longer stay.
19 Apr, 2008Leigh ()kamchia I think once it is fully developed this will be a great resort, after visiting last year I have seen all the possibilities. It is much more than a beach resort, it has countryside and woods, ideal for walking and cycling and of course the river with an abundance of wildlife, plants and flowers. none of the new builds can be higher than the trees so it should remain a beautiful area, even when it becomes fully developed in the next few years.
18 Apr, 2008h owner ()Oasis beach Kamchia is about to take off in a big way with large scale investment Oasis is leading the way in good quality develpments

Moscow Mayor Pours E110 Million into Bulgarian Seaside Resort

Moscow Municipality is about to invest in construction of children's summer camps near the Bulgarian seaside resort of Kamchia. Over the three years to come, Yury Luzhkov's institution will pour 110 million euros into the resort as not long ago it purchased 40 hectares of land, intent on building an international summer complex for children. The project envisages construction of three camps, a cultural center as well as several concert and exhibition halls. There will also be a school where teaching will be in full accord with methods and syllabuses provided by the Russian educational system. Science and technology research labs, two swimming pools, a running track and an ice rink are but a few of the school's facilities, all of which will be designed after the latest fashion.
The complex will be open year round. In summers, it will be a place of rest for Russian pupils and university students, and in winters, sportsmen will come on training camps.
It also emerged that the locally based Kamchia AD are planning to build hotels and villa complexes that will spread over 22 hectares soon. Moreover, certain international companies, according to unnamed sources, were keenly interested in investing into local family housing complexes construction.
